Full episodes of Peacock’s television programs are being posted on the well-known app for short-form video, TikTok, as part of a new promotion plan. The first episode of “Killing It” Season 2 will be made freely accessible on TikTok, according to NBCUniversal, the show’s parent company, which announced this on Monday.
The first episode, divided into five parts, can be seen on Peacock’s TikTok account as of now. Each movie lasts between three and eight minutes.
Given the current SAG/WGA strike, which has prevented the production of several television shows and motion pictures, the move is undoubtedly intriguing.
Since actors can only partially market their work to followers — aside from social media posts — Peacock is probably hoping its new TikTok campaign will attract new viewers to the series. Additionally, users of TikTok have started uploading full-length movies and television series recently.
Following a similar approach by rival Paramount+, the first three episodes of “Killing It” are also accessible on YouTube. One month after it debuted on the streaming service in May, Peacock recently posted the second episode of Pete Davidson’s “Bupkis” on YouTube.
Craig Robinson, who portrayed Craig Foster in the film “Killing It,” is a bank security guard with aspirations of starting his own business. Jillian (Claudia O’Doherty), who drives for Uber, exposes him to the world of state-sponsored python hunting and is the next person he meets. Foster believes this is a terrific strategy to accomplish his objectives, for whatever reason.
Foster’s irascible quest for money and snakes continues in season two. Foster and Jillian own a palmetto berry farm, but human visitors and a snail infestation threaten their livelihood.
August 17 marks Peacock’s launch of the eight-episode season.
