Pakistan’s IT and Telecom Minister, Syed Amin Ul Haque, has expressed his hopes that TAWAL, a leading Saudi Arabian telecommunications company, will actively boost foreign investment and job opportunities in the country. TAWAL has officially launched its operations in Pakistan, with the Chief International Officer thanking the minister for his assistance.
Before commencing its operations, TAWAL acquired AWAL Telecom and all its infrastructure and now boasts over 15,500 towers throughout the country. In response to the launch, Minister Haque congratulated the company and appreciated its efforts to enhance Pakistan’s telecom sector, promising the company full support.
Minister Haque also expressed his happiness about TAWAL’s plans for network expansion, particularly its ambition to reach remote areas of the country. He hopes that TAWAL will provide avenues for foreign investment and job opportunities for expansion and future networks like 5G and IBS.
TAWAL’s Chief International Officer expressed gratitude for the support of the Ministry of IT and Telecom to start operations in Pakistan, adding that TAWAL is aligned with the government’s policy of making smartphones accessible to everyone in the country. He presented a shield to Minister Haque in recognition of his support.
