Billionaire Elon Musk hosted Argentine President Javier Milei at Tesla headquarters on Friday, sparking what fans are calling a “bromance,” according to a report by Aawsat. The meeting marked their first in-person encounter, despite previous exchanges on what was formerly known as Twitter.
During the visit, Musk and Milei discussed collaborating on various initiatives, including potential lithium projects and promoting free-market principles, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. Musk, renowned as one of the wealthiest individuals globally and the owner of Tesla, has publicly praised Milei’s strong advocacy for private enterprise.
Manuel Adorni, Javier Milei’s chief spokesperson, disclosed that the meeting took place at Tesla’s electric vehicle headquarters in Austin, Texas. The discussions encompassed diverse topics, from addressing declining birth rates worldwide to advancing technological innovations while safeguarding individual liberties.
Argentine Ambassador to the United States Gerardo Werthein shared insights from the discussions, emphasizing talks on investment opportunities in Argentina’s lithium sector. Werthein noted Musk’s expressed interest in supporting Argentina’s endeavors.
Additionally, Javier Milei extended his backing to Elon Musk amid an ongoing dispute involving X accounts in Brazil. Last Sunday, following Musk’s public remarks about reinstating X accounts that a Brazilian judge had ordered blocked, the Brazilian Supreme Court initiated an investigation into the billionaire.
