Forbes’ latest billionaires list revealed, It has been a remarkable year for the world’s billionaires, whose fortunes continue to grow despite global challenges. There are now a record 2,781 billionaires, 141 more than last year and 26 above the previous high set in 2021. But now, in 2024, the question is: where does Elon Musk rank in Forbes’ World’s Billionaires List 2024.
Their combined wealth totals $14.2 trillion, up $2 trillion from 2023 and $1.1 trillion higher than the previous record. Two-thirds of billionaires saw their wealth increase, with the top 20 adding $700 billion collectively.
The U.S. leads with 813 billionaires worth $5.7 trillion, a record number. China follows with 473 billionaires (including Hong Kong) worth $1.7 trillion, despite economic challenges. India ranks third with 200 billionaires, which is also a record. These figures are based on stock prices and exchange rates as of March 8, 2024.
