Toyota Prius PHEV Features
Developed under the “Hybrid Reborn” concept, the latest Prius is a modernized and visually appealing vehicle with captivating driving performance that promises a fantastic experience. The WLTC test ratings show that the Prius PHEV averages 30.1 km/liter on 17-inch wheels and 26 km/liter on 19-inch wheels.
The sporty, dynamic shape of the Prius PHEV creates a sense of high-performance driving, with a metallic silver lower grille and smoky grey tail lamps that showcase the vehicle’s technical advancements. The HEV and PHEV models are almost identical in body design, with minor color schemes, shapes, and interior differences to express individuality.
Prius PHEV’s notable features include a unique external power supply system that enables the car to supply power in various emergencies. With an extreme system output of 164 kW of power, it maintains a high degree of dynamic performance while offering great fuel performance of 26.0 km/L with 19-inch tyres or 30.1 km/L with 18-inch tires tyres.
The plug-in power system of the Prius PHEV is an important powertrain option providing a direct pathway toward carbon neutrality. Toyota is constantly developing electric vehicles, including plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and hydrogen engines, to become carbon neutral and give customers worldwide various options.
The Prius PHEV has a second-generation roof-mounted solar charging system that allows it to operate efficiently, providing a driving range of 105 km (with a 17-inch wheel) or 87 km (with a 19-inch wheel) after a full charge from a Japanese domestic 200V power socket, which takes about 4.5 hours. Additionally, It has a vehicle-to-load (V2L) function that enables it to power a typical Japanese home for five days.
The Prius PHEV is priced at approximately Rs 9.4 million in Japan, comparable to the Haval H6 HEV. Yet those who can afford it will probably be drawn to its cutting-edge technology, useful features, and fuel-efficient drivetrain.
A BEV external power supply mode and a HEV external power supply mode are options for the Toyota Prius PHEV. Using electricity from the battery, the BEV power supply mode offers an external power source for outdoor activities. In contrast, the HEV mode uses the vehicle as a power source in times of disaster, blackout, and other situations.
